Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The free plan takes no card and does not expire. The 7-day trial of a paid plan takes no card either — add one before it ends and billing starts when the trial would have finished.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, and it takes effect straight away. Stripe prorates an upgrade; a downgrade applies at the end of the period you have already paid for.
What happens if I go over my email limit?
Sending stops rather than silently costing you money — the API returns a clear
monthly_limit_reached and nothing is charged for overage. Move up a plan, or buy
a block of 50,000 emails for
$10 a month, and it resumes immediately.
Do you charge for bounced or blocked emails?
No. Anything we refuse to send — a suppressed address, an opt-out, a message stopped by your own limits — does not count against your allowance. One email means one message to one recipient, so a single API call addressed to five people is five.
What if I need more contacts than emails?
Buy contacts rather than a bigger send allowance. A block of 10,000 contacts is $8 a month and sits on the plan you are already on, so you do not pay for sends you will never make.
How does Shopify billing work?
Shopify bills you, on Shopify's contract, and the plan is chosen on their page rather than here — the allowances are the same ones listed above. Reserved blocks are the one difference: they are a Stripe subscription item, so on Shopify a bigger allowance means a different plan.
